Getting around Berlin
Berlin Public Transport
Berlin has an integrated and effective public transport system. The U-Bahn (underground) has 10 lines commenting all over the city, the local station is Naturkundemuseum. The S-Bahn (rapid railway transit system) connects the city to a wider surrounding area.
The U-Bahn, S-Bhan, Tramlines and Buslines are all operated by a single company Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg or VBB. Thus with a valid ticket, ticket holders have access to all public transport in Berlin. The fare depends on the tariff zone and the ticket's period of validity. A diagram of the tariff zones can be downloaded here
